Cheshire College – South & West is committed to widening access and participation for all prospective students and seeks to encourage access to learning by reducing barriers that some students may face when considering higher education programmes.

This is reflected in ‘Our Purpose’ statement which is ‘Nurturing talent and empowering people to achieve their full potential; supporting businesses to succeed and communities to thrive’. We are committed to ensuring all students reach their potential and leave us with the best possible outcome and career ready.

The College’s higher education provision has been developed as a result of student needs and in response to the needs of local commerce and business. The College takes an active and local lead to provide high-quality education. Please read our Access and Participation Statement.

The information published on these pages shows:

  • The number of applications for admission to recognised, undergraduate higher education courses that we have received from UK domiciled applicants.
  • The number of offers we have made in relation to those applications.
  • The number of those offers accepted and the number of those who have registered with us.
  • The number of students who attained a particular degree or another academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.

It also shows these numbers by reference to:

  • The gender of the individuals to which they relate
  • Their ethnicity
  • Their socioeconomic background.

It is important to note that the data presented has not been contextualised. This means, for example, that you will not be able to see from this data how many of those applying to courses met the entry criteria. It is also the case that universities and colleges will often receive many more applications than they have space on courses and so offer rates will necessarily be lower than application rates in those circumstances.

Full transparency information, including details on student attainment, is available on our transparency tables.

Any offer made to you for a place on a course is made by the College on the basis that in accepting such an offer you agree to the terms and conditions which form part of the contract between you and the College. A copy of the terms and conditions is provided below:

CCSW HE Student Contract Terms and Conditions (2024/2025)

At enrolment, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood the terms and conditions by signing the CCSW HE Enrolment Declaration and Agreement Form (HE).

Each course has its own handbook, a copy of which will be provided at the course induction. We also have a College student handbook which contains information that we hope you will find useful and that will contribute towards the success of your study.

Read the Higher Education Student Handbook.

Cheshire College -South & West is committed to helping you achieve successful outcomes from your studies. However, there may be unforeseen circumstances, often outside the College’s control, which result in changes having to be made to your modules or programmes. The Student Protection Plan lays out the measures that Cheshire College – South & West will take to protect the student interest and assure continuity of study in the event, of course, campus or College change or closure.

The Student Protection Plan is available here Student Protection Plan.

Each year, CCSW sets its annual tuition fees and terms and conditions for all students who enrol with the College. These fees fall into different categories based on residency and course type.

The Tuition Fee and Compensation policies are available on the Policies and Procedures page
