Cheshire College – South & West has been successfully admitted to The Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE) in recognition of its commitment to excellence in education, and its high-quality provisions for young people and adults.
The CIFE was established to highlight the excellence of further education and skills training providers. It is also the only organisation in the UK that has been given royal assent to provide Chartered Status to further education providers; meaning Cheshire’s largest further education College underwent a rigorous application and review process to achieve this prestigious honour.
For students at Cheshire College, the conferral of Chartered status means that they can be assured of receiving high-quality teaching that meets the needs of the UK economy.
The CIFE works with industry to help influence and shape the national skills system, ensuring that skills providers are recognised as the key drivers of economic growth and development within their local communities.
Cheshire College was formally awarded its Chartered status at an impressive ceremony earlier this month. Principal and CEO Jasbir Dhesi OBE said of achieving Chartered status:
“We are extremely proud of our partnerships with both local, national and international organisations and are committed to working together to help shape the skills for the future. The CIFE is a prestigious accolade that recognises exceptional practise within the Further Education sector. We honoured and sincerely thank the CIFE for granting us Chartered status, and will continue to uphold the values and commitment to excellence which they recognised in us.”
Cheshire College are now accepting applications for September 2024 for those interested in studying a diverse range of subjects, designed to provide students with combined skills and knowledge that will fully prepare them for the next exciting stage of their life.
