Cheshire College – South & West is preparing to host a week of exciting events for both current and aspiring apprentices, as well as employers, in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week. As part of the celebrations, the College will unveil its new Apprenticeship Guide, providing essential information about the wide range of opportunities available.
The week will kick off with an Apprenticeship Open Evening and Jobs Fair on February 10th, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, at both the Crewe and Ellesmere Port campuses. The event will offer prospective apprentices and job seekers the chance to explore the campus facilities, meet staff, and learn about the various apprenticeship programs available. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local employers offering apprenticeship positions.
On February 11th and 12th, the College will host two Apprenticeship Panels, where full-time students can hear directly from apprentices and employers about taking an apprenticeship route. The session will provide first-hand insights from employers that partner with the College, highlighting the value of apprenticeships and their impact on career development.
In addition, the College will hold a virtual Apprenticeship Conference on February 11th and 12th, featuring a series of expert talks on key topics such as the role of artificial intelligence (AI), financial management, mental health and wellbeing, and study skills. These sessions will provide valuable information to students, with speakers from both the College staff and external guests.

The week will culminate with the annual Apprenticeship Awards Evening on February 13th, where apprentices and their employers will be recognised for their exceptional contributions and achievements.
