How to apply

The Course

If you are looking for a career in the healthcare sector or want to enhance your existing career options, then our course in Healthcare Professions’ Support is the one for you! The course will provide you with an excellent understanding of the healthcare environment in England, through both work-based experience and academic study. You will gain transferrable skills that you will be able to apply across many different careers in healthcare. Additionally, This course will prepare you for further study at Level 5. The Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Healthcare Professions’ Support will require 225 hours’ work placement or experience in a health and/or social care setting.

Students need to have at least one of the following: A BTEC Level 3 qualification (or other Level 3 qualification) in an appropriate subject (minimum 120 UCAS points), an A-Level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject, an Access to Higher Education Certificate/Diploma or related work experience. In addition, it would be beneficial if students had GCSEs at grade A-C and English and Maths GCSE at grade A-C or equivalent. Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience and/or achievement for a range of professional qualifications in their work sector.
After successfully completing this course you could progress onto the Level 5 Healthcare Professions’ Support HND course at the College. You could also seek employment in a variety of roles within the healthcare sector.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
