This is a cross sector qualification aimed at current and prospective team leaders. This qualification covers the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful team leader, covering competencies applicable to a wide range of contexts. You will develop knowledge around the principles of team leading and the general workings of a business as well as how important it is for a team leader to be able to successfully communicate with a range of stakeholders. During this course, you will develop an understanding of the principles of team leading and what leadership best practices you can encompass to enhance your team’s performance and motivate team members to achieve their potential. You’ll learn how to manage conflict within a team, how to be a positive role model and best mentor colleagues and how to cope with dissatisfied customers.

This is a remote learning course which will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence.

There are no entry requirements for this course; however, a good level of English and a reasonable level of IT skills are required. There will be an initial assessment as part of the application process.
This is a knowledge only qualification so a relevant employer placement is not required, but may be beneficial.
