How to apply

The Course

This course explores managing behaviour that causes harm to the individual or others, or prevents the individual from fulfilling some aspect of their life, such as education, work or relationships. The course covers effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges, assertive and aggressive behaviour and how to support positive behaviour.

This course should take approximately four to six months to complete. There are four mandatory units in this qualification:

  • Understand Behaviour that Challenges
  • Understand How to Support Positive Behaviour
  • Understand the Importance of Effective Communication and the Management of Behaviour that Challenges
  • Understand the Role of Reflection and Support for those Involved in Incidents of Behaviour that Challenges

This is a remote learning course which will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence.

There are no entry requirements for this course; however, a good level of English and a reasonable level of IT skills are required. There will be an initial assessment as part of the application process.

This is a knowledge-only qualification; therefore, no real work environment placement is required.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
