How to apply

The Course

This qualification is suitable for anyone working within healthcare, social care and education contexts or those just looking to build their knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties. The course will give you knowledge of different specific learning difficulties, how they are diagnosed and how individuals can be supported.

This course should take approximately four to six months to complete. There are five mandatory units in this qualification:

  • Understand Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Understand the Effects of Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Understand the Diagnosis of Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Understand Supporting individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties
  • Understand the Context of Specific Learning Difficulties

This is a remote learning course which will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence.

There are no entry requirements for this course; however, a good level of English and a reasonable level of IT skills are required. There will be an initial assessment as part of the application process.

This is a knowledge-only qualification; therefore, work experience is not mandatory but may be useful.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
