How to apply

The Course

This course provides students with an introduction to many hand-building techniques, including pinching, coiling and slabwork. These techniques are all the elements needed to produce functional, sculptural and decorative ceramics. The course will take you through the making, glazing and firing processes. There will also be an opportunity to try wheel throwing too. There will be some set projects to work on and then you will be given the freedom to create your final piece for marking.

Students will be required to complete a workbook alongside their studies to record and document their learning process and share photographs of all the items they create whilst on the course.  Although this course is aimed at beginners, we also welcome more experienced learners with the appreciation of who this course is aimed at.

All students will be able to take home their final pieces with them after the glaze firing.
