How to apply

The Course

This course focuses on supervising restaurant service, functions and events. You will learn about health & safety, promoting food and beverage products, customer service performance, legislation, preparing and serving food and beverages and matching food with beverages. The course will cover both practical and theory work and will include working off-site at various college events.

Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including a combination of grade 4/3 (C/D) or higher in maths and English. Level 3 students who do not achieve a grade 4 in both English and maths will continue to study the relevent subject as part of their Study Programme.
Successful completion of this course can lead directly to a wide range of higher education courses such as HNDs, foundation degrees and degrees. This course can lead to employment in team leader or supervisor roles with progression routes into management within the catering industry.
