How to apply

The Course

If you have an interest in or are already working with individuals with learning disabilities, then this is the course for you!

This qualification will give you the knowledge and understanding needed to work with individuals with learning disabilities or difficulties. You will explore the principles of safeguarding and positive risk taking and gain awareness of the autistic spectrum.

The course can prepare you for employment in a support role working or interacting with people with learning disabilities in a variety of healthcare and education settings. As well as the taught session, there will be workbooks to complete and online and digital resources will be available.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

This qualifcation can help you progress in your current role and can also help you enter employment in a variety of healthcare and education settings, working with individuals with learning disabilities. You can also progress to study at a higher level at the College.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
