How to apply

The Course

This course is suitable for students aged 16-18 who are interested in working in health and social care settings. The Level 2 course is completed over a one-year period and includes a minimum work experience placement of 50 hours to be completed in a relevant health and social care setting. You will be in College 5 days a week until December, after which you will attend College 4 days a week and placement for 1 day.

Typically you will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including a 3/2 (D/E) combination for maths and English.
This qualification enables students to progress to employment as a care assistant or work in a hospital setting. Students can progress to the Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification at the College provided that they meet the entry requirements for the course.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
