How to apply

The Course

This Level 3 Extended Diploma will give you the skills required to work professionally in the music industry, in both performances and production and will encourage the theoretical understanding needed to underpin these activities. Tutors on the course will often use their professional expertise to help you understand the music industry and will guide you when you organise and perform live events. There are no formal examinations on this course but you will be expected to build a portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills as a musician.

Upon successful completion of the first year of the course, you will be awarded a BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in the subject.

Typically you will need 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C, including a 4/3 (C/D) combination for maths and English.
On successful completion of the Level 3 Extended Diploma, it is possible for students to progress to higher education to study on degree and foundation degree courses.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
