How to apply

The Course
This course will help you discover the science behind sport and prepare you for a career in the fitness industry, or for a range of degree courses. The course consists of core modules covering the essentials of sports science, and you’ll also study additional modules that will equip you with knowledge in a variety of subjects. The six core modules are:
- Anatomy for Sport and Exercise
- Sport and Exercise Physiology
- Sport and Exercise Psychology
- Research Methods for Sport and Exercise Sciences
- A research project
- Sports Biomechanics in Action
In addition to this you’ll learn about fitness testing, sports and exercise massage, sports nutrition and sports coaching, as well as getting plenty of practical work experience.
Upon successful completion of the first year of the course, you will be
awarded a BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in the subject.
The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
Funding for Adult Courses
You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
