How to apply

The Course

If you have a keen interest in baking hand-crafted bread from home, then this could be the perfect course for you. 

 

This course will introduce you to a wide selection of breads from around the world, including naan bread, ciabatta, focaccia and brioche. You will develop your knowledge and skillset in making bread, including mixing, kneading, proving and baking. 

 

You will learn a variety of intricacies in baking, including how to use a range of ingredients to create the finished product, how to weigh and measure ingredients, and how to plan and prepare fresh artisan bread. 

 

Upon completion of this course, you can use the enhanced skillset you have acquired to make bread from home or progress onto a Level 2 Bakery or Cookery course

There are no entry requirements. This course is for students 19+.
Students could progress on to Introduction to Asian Cuisine, Level 2 General Bakery and Patisserie or Level 2 professional cookery.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
