The Course

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of PC building and maintenance, equipping them with the skills needed to assemble a fully functional computer system. Designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike, the course covers essential hardware components, system assembly, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. 

 

Course Objectives: 

  • Identify and understand the function of key computer components, including the motherboard, processor, RAM, storage devices, power supply, and cooling systems. 

  • Learn the step-by-step process of assembling a desktop computer, ensuring proper installation of components. 

  • Develop troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve common hardware issues. 

  • Understand best practices for maintaining a computer, including cleaning, cable management, and hardware upgrades.

There is no specific entry requirements for this course. This course is suitable for students aged 19+ with an interest in computers.

You could progress to further study with one of our Cyber Security courses.

Adults can enrol for FREE

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you’re aged 19+ you’ll more than likely be eligible to enrol onto an adult course for FREE.
