How to apply

The Course

Introduction to Phlebotomy introduces students to the initial theoretical knowledge underpinning the practice of phlebotomy and allows them to demonstrate application and release of a tourniquet and taking blood from a dummy arm. 


 This qualification is for students who are interested in becoming a phlebotomist and who may not currently be working in the health sector or a related area.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. This course is suitable for students aged 19+.
You can develop your knowledge by progressing to a Level 3 Health and Social Care, Access to Higher Education Health Professionals, Access to Higher Education Medical Science, or you may wish to explore other short courses available.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Funding for Adult Courses
