How to apply

The Course

This programme has been developed to focus on the development of technical and soft skills to allow for progression to study at Level 3, either through a T Level or an apprenticeship. You will complete technical modules, personal and social development and a work placement. The programme is made up of the following elements:

  • Diagnostic Period
  • Level 2 Certificate in Business
  • Enterprise in the Business World
  • Finance for Business
  • Principles of Marketing
  • Business Online
  • Small Business Planning
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting

In addition to the business programme outlined above, you will also complete the following components on your study programme to ensure that you have the necessary skills and experience to successfully transfer onto a Level 3 course on successful completion of the Business and Administration Pre-T Level Transition Programme:

  • Level 2 Higher Project Qualification
  • Work Placement
  • Individual Development Skills
  • Discrete maths and English classes

Typically you will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including a 3/2 (D/E) combination for maths and English.

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, you will be able to progress directly onto the Business and Administration T Level. Over the three years of your T Level journey you will gain a range of skills and substantial experience of working for employers, which will give you a number of progression options including degree programmes at university, skilled employment in more senior roles or higher-level apprenticeships that offer honours degrees as part of the programme.

You coould also progress to another Level 3 course, such as the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business, or a a Level 3 apprenticeship.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.

Funding for Adult Courses

You may see a fee attached to the course you’re interested in, but if you are 19+ there may be funding options available to cover the cost of your course.
