How to apply

The Course

This course is designed to develop your knowledge and practical skills across key areas in the sport, physical activity and exercise science sectors. You will explore topics including exercise, health and lifestyle, exercise physiology, anatomy, sports psychology, nutrition, fitness training, sports therapy and coaching. The programme aims to give you a broad understanding of both the theory and applied elements of the industry, helping you prepare for higher education or employment.

Assessment is carried out through a range of methods which include practical skills tasks, written assignments, professional discussions and presentations. There are no formal examinations on this course.

You will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English.
You can progress onto a university degree, HNC or pursue careers in coaching, personal training, sports therapy, sport science or PE teaching.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
