The Course

This introductory course explores the use of complementary therapy techniques to promote relaxation and support wellbeing. Designed for those interested in developing practical skills for personal use or further study, the course provides an overview of how relaxation methods can contribute to physical and emotional balance. Students will learn how to create a calming environment using lighting, aromas, and setting. Core techniques include basic massage for the back, shoulders, and scalp, as well as simple facial massage and pressure point work. The course also introduces the safe use of pre-blended aromatherapy oils for therapeutic purposes. This course offers a supportive and practical learning experience, ideal for individuals looking to build confidence in holistic self-care techniques.

There are no formal qualifications required. An interest in relaxation, wellbeing, or beauty therapy is recommended.
You can progress onto the Level 2 Beauty Therapy Diploma.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
