The Course

This introductory course is designed for adults interested in developing skills for hosting elegant and enjoyable dinner parties. Students will learn how to prepare and present a full dining experience, including freshly made bread, a starter, a main course, and dessert. The course also covers key aspects of table setup, including professional napkin folding and basic wine pairing techniques to complement the menu.

Delivered in a practical kitchen and restaurant environment, students will gain hands-on experience guided by expert demonstrations. This course is ideal for those looking to explore new culinary skills or considering a future in the hospitality or cookery sector.

There are no formal qualifications required. An interest in cooking, hospitality, or event hosting is recommended.
You can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
