How to apply

The Course

This course offers a practical introduction to basic dance skills, designed for individuals with little or no experience. Students will explore a range of movement techniques and develop coordination, rhythm, and confidence in performance. The course encourages creativity and self-expression while building an understanding of the physical and spatial aspects of dance.

Through structured sessions, students will be guided in warm-ups, movement sequences, and group activities that promote teamwork and body awareness. The focus is on building a strong foundation in dance through accessible and enjoyable activities.

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in dance or performance, whether for personal development, fitness, or to explore potential creative pathways.

There are no formal qualifications required. An interest in dance, movement or performance is recommended.
You can progress onto a Level 2 course in Dance, Performing Arts or a related creative subject.

The course fee shown is the co-funded rate which is only available for people living in the local authority areas of Cheshire West and Chester or Cheshire East. If you live outside of these local authorities please contact the College for fee information.
