Explore What’s Next: Final Open Evening of the Year

Cheshire College – South & West is set to welcome prospective students, parents, and members of the local community to its final Open Evening of the academic year on Wednesday 23 April 2025, from 5:30PM to 7:00PM, across its Crewe, Ellesmere Port, and Chester campuses.

The event marks the final opportunity for anyone still considering their next steps in education to discover why Cheshire College continues to be a standout choice across the region.

Visitors will be able to tour the College’s state-of-the-art facilities, speak directly with expert tutors, watch live demonstrations, and receive one-to-one support with their applications.

“We’re excited to open our doors one last time this year and show prospective students all the opportunities available to them. Whether you already know what you want to study or are still exploring your options, our Open Evening will give you the chance to discover it all.” Said Principal and CEO, Jasbir Dhesi OBE.

Whether attendees are leaving school, looking to upskill, or considering a complete career change, the Open Evening is designed to provide valuable insights and guidance for all.

Offering over 300 courses, including A Levels, T Levels, apprenticeships, adult learning, higher education, and vocational programmes, strong industry links, supportive tutors, and award-winning facilities help students build the skills and confidence to succeed.

As well as school leavers, the Open Evening welcomes anyone looking to upskill, change careers, or return to education later in life. It’s also the perfect chance for those who’ve attended a previous Open Evening and want another look to feel certain about their choice.

To make education more accessible, Cheshire College continues to provide free transport for all full-time students aged 16–18 who live over one mile from their chosen campus. This includes public bus services to all campuses, plus an additional coach service to Crewe Campus, with no means of testing required.

Dhesi added “We know that travel can be a barrier for some students, which is why we’re proud to offer free transport options across all of our campuses. It’s just one of the many ways we’re committed to removing obstacles and making education accessible to everyone.”
