Learning Mentor (EL670/EL671/EL672/EL673/EL675)

Salary: £21,411 – £22,556 (pro rata per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time, Part Year working 38 weeks

Location: Crewe and Chester Campuses

We are seeking Learning Mentors to join our team working across our Crewe and Chester campuses.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Quality team to underpin the learner journey and provide opportunities for learners to develop resilience, knowledge and skills that lead to success, ensuring that the learners progress onto further study, apprenticeships or work with confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and intervene to support learners at risk of underachievement;
  • Ensure effective communication and liaison to support learners;
  • Setup and run extra -curricular activities ; and
  • Implement strategies and support learners in self-esteem and confidence building activities.

 Key Person Specification Requirements:

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths;
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development;
  • Experience of working in a learning support capacity;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures; and
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships;
