We are looking for a Network Technician to join us at our Ellesmere Port campus. Both our proactive and reactive work are vital to the running of the College. We work on large-scale projects as well as supporting colleagues with day-to-day technical issues.

Technical Skills
Are you able to install, maintain and repair systems and equipment? Do you know how to trouble-shoot and implement solutions? Could you conduct a successful inventory audit?
Personal Skills
Can you prioritise effectively? Are you able to communicate positively? Do you have a keen eye for detail?
Background
Do you have an IT-based qualification? Have you previously worked in a customer service role? Do you have an understanding of working in Education?
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair IT systems and equipment (hardware, peripherals and software) to ensure they are functioning effectively, in accordance with agreed service standards;
- Install IT equipment and software to meet user needs;
- Identify persistent and potential problems and suggest and implement solutions;
- Assist with the inventory audits of equipment and software;
- Assist in the development and technical support of the technology infrastructure for both voice and data and;
- Promote the welfare of children and young people.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent);
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Appropriate level of digital literacy; and
- Enhanced DBS check.
